Taking Responsive a Step Further

In a mobile-first world, can we finally start designing smart first and phones later?

Are responsive interfaces really just intelligent interfaces? Should our tools act smarter? Is it too much to ask for designers and developers to invest that extra mile? A few seconds each day X millions of users means hours saved.

Now that we are designing with screen sizes and aspect ratios in mind, we should go a step further and plan strategically to utilize the device data that’s already collected and available.

Tin Kadoic

Tin is a M.Design and a lecturer at the School of Design in Zagreb. He lives and works with interactive media, balancing commercial, educational and personal work.

Working for more than 10 years with local studios and agencies for clients such as Coca-Cola, Adris, T-Com, Snickers, Ericsson, Carlsberg, Nutella. In 2009. co-founds a digital agency Brlog, part of Bruketa&Žinić OM group, where he is in charge of all aspects of digital communication. In his career he has been awarded with the Red Dot, ID, Adobe achievement award, IdejaX, MIXX, Effie, and has exhibited at the HDD Biennale (biennale Exhibition of Croatian Design), ZGRAF, and smaller exhibitions.

For the last four years he has also been working as a lecturer at the School of Design in Zagreb - Interactive media department, where he leads and organises workshops, guest lecturers and actively works on promoting interactive media inside the academic community.

As of 2014, he organises events and meet-ups as a local leader for IxDA Croatia, and helps as an IxDA Europe core team member.
